How to Throw a Best Cast Net
Compared to fishing with a rod or
pole, Best Cast Net fishing
requires considerably more effort than waiting for the fish to bite and sit. No
person throws the trap in water in any way; there are appropriate ways to cast
nets that must be learned.
Single-arm throw method of best
throwing cast network, especially, with a radius of 5 feet, when using a
smaller sized cast net. Assuming that there is a right hand, the right hand is
used to throw a trap. The hand loop is tightened at the right wrist, after
which several loose ends are coiled by the throw line and held by the throwing
hand.
After the loops are formed, the
netted lattice is held by the freehand while the throwing hand rests its palm
down. The lead line is then moved to the non-throwing hand and then grabbed by
the throwing palm.
The body of the trap thrower
retreats from the chosen target then rotates smoothly as the trap is finally
removed. If done perfectly, the cast net will hit the water in a circular
pattern. Once the target is in the trap, a line is drawn to close the trap.
The two-arm throw method teaches
how to throw a cast net of large size (with a radius of 6 feet and more) using
both hands. The procedures in this technique are very similar to the single-arm
method, but this instruction will use a left-handed approach.
Again, loose loops are made from
the throw line but are caught with the left hand this time. Loops are made
continuously until the thrower catches the cast net with its horn. Then the
thrower picks up the trap and grabs it with the free hand at the height of the
pocket.
The end of the trap is transferred
to the throwing arm while the other catches the entire trap. The lead line is
now lying on the ground, after which the mesh is divided in half, where the
left thumb and left index finger are connected. Half of the trap along the lead
line is caught with the right hand and the other half of the trap is caught by
the horn and hand line in the left hand.
The mesh, held by the right hand,
is mounted on the left thumb and allowed to hang loosely. The right hand then
grabs the lead line where high and low clumps of the lead line meet. The lead
line is placed either on the front teeth of the thrower or above the shoulder.
The lead line that hangs from the
tooth or shoulder is assembled using the thumb and index finger of the right
hand. With the right palm up, the net hanging on the left thumb is folded in
the right hand. With both hands palm up, the net is thrown in the same manner
as previously described.
